Q: Tell us about your experience at Crary Huff.
A: I was working as the Director of Operations for the Firm when I told the partners that I was ready for a new challenge. I had been considering law school, but it seemed impractical given my family obligations. The partners at Crary Huff said that if law school was my goal, they would make it possible for me. I’m proud that I work at a Firm where the leadership invests in its people
Q: What makes Crary Huff unique?
A: I think it’s the interpersonal relationships and how much everyone is invested in each other. I’m glad we prioritize our employees in a similar way to how we prioritize our clients.
Q: Do you have a favorite legal drama?
A: In “Goliath,” Billy Bob Thorton plays a lawyer who has a lot of personal demons and struggles, but that doesn’t get in the way of him working ethically and doing the right thing. My life is very different from Billy Bob’s character, but I hope that throughout my career, no matter what I have going on, I’m always cognizant of my role for my clients.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: We’re Iowa fans and Chiefs fans. So, we watch a lot of football and basketball, and I coach my son’s basketball team. Mostly since becoming a dad, it’s—go to work, come home, make chicken nuggets, repeat.
