Q: Tell us about your practice.
A: I'm on the firm’s litigation team. I advise both large and small employers on employment matters, and I do a lot of banking work, including foreclosures. I love to write, so no matter what the dispute is about, I am often involved whenever a written argument is needed.
Q: What does employment law entail?
A: It includes employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination claims. I frequently represent employers in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state anti-discrimination agencies. I also advise clients on statutory issues including Family Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Americans With Disabilities Act matters. I also help clients develop employment policies and draft employee handbooks. I negotiate and draft employment-related contracts such as non-compete agreements and separation agreements.
Q: What do you love about Crary Huff?
A: The atmosphere here is about collaboration, versus each attorney acting independently or competing with each other, and I think it benefits our clients that we work in that way.
Q: What hobbies do you have outside of work?
A: I’ve always been a big reader, and I love sports.
