Q: Tell us about your practice.
A: A bulk of my case load, and where my passion lies, is in the field of municipal and governmental law.
Q: What led you down the path to be an attorney?
A: It started with my high school government class where an influential teacher convinced me to pursue a career in government. That led me to law school, but ultimately, I didn't get there until a couple of careers later.
Q: What were your first two careers?
A: I first worked as a newspaper reporter covering city and state government, which furthered my interest in municipal law. Then I managed restaurant kitchens in South Dakota and Nebraska.
Q: Are you the best cook in the firm?
A: I have won the Firm's chili competition. And I won with a vegan chili that I created on the fly!
Q: What are your other hobbies?
A: I like technology, science fiction, and fantasy. I have four kids, so I’m very interested in teaching them fun things to do and spending time with them outdoors.
