Q: Tell us about your practice.
A: I represent both lenders and borrowers to create elaborate secured financing transactions. I also work with businesses and investors large and small as entities form, operate, or liquidate. A significant part of my practice involves mergers and acquisitions as well as advising clients with regard to I.R.C. § 1031 like-kind exchanges.

Q: What hobbies do you have?
A: I love riding my bicycles and have completed the entire bicycle ride across Iowa on RAGBRAI several times. I have two short-haired German pointers, and I am an avid upland game hunter. I love my dogs even more than I love riding bikes.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: I am on executive boards of Siouxland Cyclists, the regional cycling club, and PlyWood Trail Foundation, which is presently raising funds for a multi-use recreational trail between Sioux City and Le Mars, Iowa.
