Human Resources Specialist

Crary Huff Law Firm is seeking a Human Resources Specialist for its modern downtown office comprised of 23 attorneys and 15 support professionals. The Human Resources Specialist manages daily HR operations and anticipates and plans for the evolving needs of the Firm. This position works in partnership with the Firm’s Administrative Team and Managing Partners.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Self-motivated and proactive—able to take initiative, work independently, and make decisions without the need for constant supervision or extensive training.
  • Experience in professional services is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, industry best practices, and labor regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a natural ability to resolve issues, collaborate with others, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and adept at balancing competing demands.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of work.

About the Role: As the primary HR professional for the Firm, you will be entrusted with overseeing and managing all HR functions, ensuring they align with the Firm’s goals and support its growth. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Recruitment & Onboarding: Spearheading recruitment efforts, from attracting talent to managing the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all new hires.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Overseeing payroll processes, benefits enrollment, and administration, including 401(k) management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Employee Relations & Development: Assisting leadership with performance management, providing support for employee development initiatives, and ensuring effective resolution of workplace issues.
  • Compliance & Policies: Ensuring adherence to HR policies and labor laws, maintaining compliance while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • HR Practices & Materials: Contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of internal HR practices, policies, and training materials to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Working closely with the Firm’s leadership team and administrative staff to align HR strategies with the Firm’s overall objectives and enhance internal processes.

Compensation:

  • $55k/yr – $65k/yr
