Q: What led you to a career in a law office?
A: I was in banking for 13 years and I was ready for a change of pace. I definitely found that at Crary Huff—every day here is different, and there’s never a dull moment.
Q: Who do you admire at Crary Huff?
A: I am inspired by everyone here at different times. We have a great group of collaborators, so there are lots of opportunities to get inspired. Specifically, I have to mention Matt Gaul. I took over for him as Director of Operations when he went to law school. Matt is very smart and his comprehension of that job was outstanding. I’ve learned so much from him.
Q: Someone called you the heart of the office. What do you do to create an inviting culture at Crary Huff?
A: The attorneys take the time to get to know the staff on a personal level, but we also create opportunities to get to know our people and their families. We have some really fun events like a St. Patrick’s Day happy hour and a “Derby De Mayo” party where we watch the Kentucky Oaks on May 5th. Of course, our “Summer Hang” picnic, our Halloween party “Scrary Huff,” and our “Santa’s Workshop” events are huge hits with the kids.
Q: What hobbies or interests do you have?
A: My biggest hobby is following my kids around. They’re very involved in sports, and I love sports. I like to exercise and spend time with friends. I read when I have free time, but there is not a lot of that these days.
